MLB The show 22- own the show

Following up our most exciting year ever was no small feat. That’s why we went big. Once in a generation type of player big. That meant we had to go with Shohei Ohtani. The most amazing pitcher/hitter since Babe Ruth. To announce him we teased the reveal with a mysterious countdown before announcing him on the grandest stage we could think of - a 3D billboard in Times Square.

We weren’t done there. For the collector’s edition of the game we created a special manga cover inspired by Shohei’s love for the medium. Here’s our trailer announcing the cover.

MLB The Show’s mascot Coach was so overwhelmed by the amount of content in MLB The Show 22 that he had to clone himself to keep up. Here’s a video of him (and him) enjoying themselves playing on Nintendo Switch.
